The Silk Hair Bonnet

I was hesitant buying one purely because of the price as it’s more of an investment for my hair but I’m not disappointed! Beautifully packed and the bonnet speaks for itself really. The best part is that it doesn’t fall off during sleep. I’ve owned many bonnets but they never stayed on my head without falling off or waking up with loose ties around my head. Will be buying another one in the future.

I bought the silk hair wrap in the green colour and it is gorgeous and very high quality! I have straight and fine hair that is prone to breakage and is often frizzy, especially in the mornings. Since receiving this wrap 2 weeks ago I have worn it every night and have not once had frizzy hair. I’ve even been complimented on the glossiness and that it looks like I’ve had a blow out in the morning. It’s definitely working its magic. I have maybe 3 times woken up with it having come off in the night but it is normally on. I used to do heatless curls at night but I’ve not tried this with the hair wrap yet. Overall I can definitely recommend and the quality is so worth the price.

It's a skull cap, not a bonnet. I have a small head & not much hair & it's too small. The elastic grips my ears like a vice because it's so tightly applied to my head with very little spare fabric. Unusable in fact.

I have very thick coarse shoulder length hair and struggled to find a covering which did not slide off at night. The silk wrap/bonnet does the job and is also very comfortable.

I have thick curly hair prone to frizz and serious tangling. This bonnet fits comfortably and stays on all night. Much easier to bush through when washing and curls last for a couple of days without frizz as hair is all in place in morning.

Fast delivery and excellent quality

I don’t even need to comb my hair in the morning after wearing my silk bonnet! It keeps my hair flat and unruffled. I thought I might take the bonnet off by accident during the night but it has been fine. I am very satisfied and happy with my purchase.

Not received!

I left my bonnet at a friend's and it was going to be a couple of weeks before I got it back so I ordered a 2nd to keep me going (I did have a version from a different company but it's not as good, I tend to fid it on my pillow in the morning)

Too big if you have a small head. It either slips off my head in the night or it falls down and covers my eyes. It's a shame as it feels lovely.

This was brilliant for me during chemo - it protected my fragile hair and scalp and was comforting to wear. Now I’m out the other side with hair intact it’s great to keep hair smooth and the frizziness at bay.

Arrived beautifully packaged and I can’t fault a thing. The hair wrap is so comfortable to sleep in, I’d definitely recommend.

I was really excited to receive my silk hair bonnet as it was a treat to myself to go for pure silk and spend so much money. However when I tried it on the first night I quickly realised it was much too small to hold my shoulder length curly hair without squashing the hair against my head. The results the next morning were disappointing and not as good as how it looks when I use the £5 satin bonnet I got from Amazon. If you’re looking for a sleep bonnet and have medium or longer length hair I wouldn’t recommend.

Really great quality, love it

This is my first silk cap and I'm genuinely shocked by how well it stays in place during the night. Given that it's lovely and silky, I didn't think the little bit of elastic at the back would hold it that well while I tossed and turned, but it stays on all night easily. Very impressed.

I’m really happy with these lovely scrunchies- I particularly like the lilac colour!

Bought this for my daughter, who has an average size head and amount of hair, but it is too small and slips off in the night.

The quality is really good and doesn’t disturb my sleep or give me an itchy head. Will defo consider getting a back up silk hair wrap.

It stays on, is very comfortable, stays on no problem, and has really made a difference to my hair - the frizz has gone! Only problem is sometimes it can feel a bit warm, but then silk is warm. It is in no way a deal breaker though. Good product.

Pro: As a Black woman with straightened, mid-back-length hair, I was pleased to find that this U.K.-developed silk bonnet is larger than the ones I’ve purchased from the U.S. and sits at the edges of the front and back of my hair; as such, it doesn’t come off after sleeping. When I wake up, my hair still feels moisturized. This company is the real deal.

Con: The bonnet can be larger. The promotional video shows a woman with hair longer than mine who puts her hair into a ponytail on top of her head, covers her hair with the bonnet, and still has a bit of the hair poking out from the back. Not sure if the owners of this company are Black, so I’ll provide this tip: the benefit of a bonnet is being able to fully cover the hair.

Absolutely stunning and feels lovely BUT doesn’t fit all my hair in properly and doesn’t stay on my head. Wore for a few days straight to give it a chance but came off every night, not worth the money as now just sits in a drawer

Having now had my bonnet for almost 4 months, I am able to provide a review. Although the silk bonnet is a gorgeous colour and material, the practicalities of it are sadly not that great for myself. I have found that the bonnet slips off my head most nights even though I hardly move in my sleep and I just feel for the price of it, it's not lived up to its expectations. I used to use a much cheaper (not real silk) bonnet before trying real silk and have found that that one always stayed on my head and never slipped off. Disappointed with the result given the cost of the product and good reviews.

A week on after receiving: After following the video on how to use the silk wrap it’s very hit and miss how it stays in place. I can wake up a few times in the night and having to put it back into position. I just wish it was made more secure. My hair is looking far more controlled and soft to touch rather than the normal frizzy it definitely works but need to be more secure
