Although cotton may feel soft, it is more abrasive than silk against your skin, and so creates more friction against your skin and hair. This can cause creases on your face and dehydrated skin during the night, as well as tugging on your delicate hair, which can lead to hair breakage and frizz.

Silk has a smoother surface compared to cotton and retains less moisture than cotton, which makes silk pillowcases and accessories better for your hair and skin. Silk also naturally heat regulates your skin, which keeps you cool while you sleep to give you an overall more comfortable sleeping experience.

We use the highest grade silk available in the world, with a luxury thickness of 22 momme, which means that our silk is durable and long-lasting.

However, silk is a delicate fabric by nature and the more carefully your silk pillowcase and silk accessories are looked after, the longer they will last.

Machine-wash (silk pillowcases only)

Our silk pillowcases are machine-washable on a cool or delicates setting (below 30°C). Only a small amount of liquid silk detergent should be used (pH neutral) and we also recommend turning the pillowcase inside out and placing in a laundry bag before washing.

This is the universal measure of the weight of silk, which typically indicates the thickness of silk fabric (in a similar to way to 'thread count' for cotton).

The higher the momme count, the thicker and more luxurious the silk fabric will feel against your skin.

For bedding, a minimum momme count of 19 momme should be used. Whilst many silk pillowcases available in retail stores are 19 momme or lower, we use a momme count of 22, which has almost 20% more silk than an equivalent 19 momme pillowcase. This means that the silk will feel thicker and feels more comforting on your skin. It also means the silk is more durable.

Yes our silk is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® which means that it is certified to be free from harmful or toxic dyes.

Our products are made from 100% mulberry silk which means that they may wrinkle slightly as you use them or after washing.

You can iron your silk pillowcase on a silk setting or use a steamer. We recommend ironing the silk pillowcase through a damp cotton cloth using a low temperature silk setting.

For silk scrunchies, silk eye masks and silk headbands, we recommend steaming these products.

All individual silk pieces (except silk scrunchies) come gift-wrapped in tissue paper inside our signature gift box.

If you are ordering individual silk scrunchies, these do not come with a gift box but you can choose to add a gift box to your order if it is a gift.

Our silk scrunchies are each hand-tied with ribbon and our branded swing tag and wrapped in tissue paper.

Yes, simply add their address as the shipping address at checkout. You can also add a gift message at checkout which is then included in the parcel so that they know who it is from!

Please note that we do not include any invoices/receipts in the parcel for any of our orders so that the items can be sent straight to recipients where required.

Unfortunately this is not possible. If you require items to be sent to shipping addresses, please process the orders separately as we can only have one shipping address per order.

Yes you can create your own bespoke gift by adding your own selection of items to your basket and then add a gift box. Please add a note at checkout in the order notes section to indicate which items you would like inside the gift box.

All of our silk pillowcases, silk eye masks, silk robes, silk headbands and silk heatless curlers come inside our signature gift box as standard, so there is no need to add an extra gift box!

Your order will be packaged into a cardboard postal box or an envelope for smaller items.

Items are protected using EcoFlo loose fill if inside a postal box. These are plastic-free packaging peanuts made from starch and are 100% compostable. These can be re-used, placed in a compost bin or simply dissolved in water in the sink!
