Introducing Maroon and Espresso, our first limited edition colours

Maroon and Espresso are the two colours you have asked us for most. They arrive on Friday 16 October at 9am, in the same 22 momme mulberry silk as the rest of the collection, and in small first runs. Once they're gone, they're gone.

A deep, wine-dark red. Rich by lamplight, softer by day, and the colour you kept writing in to ask for.

Espresso

The brown of a good coffee, a shade deeper than our Chocolate Brown. Warm, grounding and easy to live with.

Why we chose them

For years our palette has lived at the soft, light end: pearl white, champagne, blush pink, oyster. When you wrote to us, one request kept coming up: a deep red and a proper brown. So we sampled the shades against our silk, by daylight and by lamplight, until both felt right in the bedroom and in the hair.

Frequently asked questions

When do Maroon and Espresso launch?

Friday 16 October 2026 at 9am UK time. Our email list gets first access in the morning, and everyone else that evening.

Are they limited edition?

Yes. Both are small first runs, so once a colour sells out, it's gone for the season.

How do I wash deep colours?

Wash them on their own for the first few washes, cool and gentle, and dry them flat out of direct sun.

Can I request a colour?

Please do. Reply to any of our emails or write to info@thesilkcollection.co.uk. Maroon and Espresso exist because you asked.

Is anything else coming?

Something festive is on its way for Christmas. Our email list will hear first.
